Placenta Encapsulation

There are multiple benefits to encapsulating your placenta, it is full of nutrients and helps with the process of your hormones transitioning to it new stage which is postpartum. Stray away from the phrase "per-pregnancy body" because you will never have that again and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. As long as the transition is healthy and steady it is what is best for you.

I fully understand that not everyone is comfortable with digesting their own organ, and thankfully because  of that, you can still get the same benefits from a placenta tincture that has a life long shelf life.

Feel free to contact me to help decide which option works for you .

The Process

After your child is born you will have to also give birth to your placenta (your baby's life source.) Your placenta is a organ that grew along with your baby that supplied your baby with oxygen so they wouldn't need to breathe while growing in amniotic fluid. It also gives them their source of blood to grow all of their organs in order to form for them to function outside of the womb.

Unless you are my doula client I will need to know within the first two hour of your baby being born so I can travel to you to pick up your placenta. Be sure to let your provider and their assistants know that you are keeping your placenta and that someone is coming to get it.

Once I have your placenta I will head to my place of work and start the process by draining all of the blood out of the placenta. The sac that your baby was in will be removed along with the umbilical cord. The cord will be put to the side to be created into a keepsake. Next step is steaming it and preparing it for dehydration. Once that is done the placenta is then grind down then in carefully put into empty capsules.
